Q. What is rich media?
As defined by the Interactive Advertising Bureau: Rich media can now be defined as “advertisements with which users can interact (as opposed to solely animation and excluding click-through functionality) in a web page format. These advertisements can be used either singularly or in combination with various technologies, including but not limited to sound, video, or Flash, and with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and DHTML. These Guidelines cover standard Web applications including e-mail, static (e.g. html) and dynamic (e.g. asp) Web pages, and may appear in ad formats such as banners and buttons”. Q. What is the format of AdsGen RICHproduct solutions?
The format used in AdsGen RICHproduct suite is Iframe/JavaScript.
Q. What programming is used with AdsGen rich media banners?
AdsGen uses programming languages such as JavaScript, DHTML. This is the standard, most widely accepted programming language for rich media. Using these programming languages ensures that your AdsGen banners will be accepted by most, if not all publishers.
Q. Do I need any programming skills or knowledge of HTML to use your system?
No, there is no programming or HTML knowledge required to build any of AdsGen RICHproduct solutions.
Q. Where can I serve (display) created AdsGen banners?
After you have created your AdsGen banner you can serve it through any ad publisher, network or software that supports Iframe/JavaScript rich media. You can also display your AdsGen banners on your own web site.

Q. Can I add a RICHproduct Storefront to my website, blog and social media pages?
You can add your RICHproduct Storefront to you website, blog and MySpace page but not Facebook.
Q. Can I customize my RICHproduct Storefront to match my website or blog?
Yes, each RICHproduct Storefront can be customized and adjusted to match your website or blog.
Q. Can I track purchase payments and customer information through my RICHproduct Storefront account?
Yes, you can view customer and order information and even manage order status
Q. Can I edit my AdsGen banner after it has been placed on a web site?
Yes, with AdsGen you can update promotions, text content, design and products all in real time!
Q. How many banner variations can I build at once?
Currently we allow users to hold only ten banner variations within their account at one time.
Q. How do I know if my AdsGen RICHproduct Ads will meet my publisher’s acceptance guidelines for rich media?
AdsGen banners are pre-optimized to meet industry standards right out of the box! But if you want to be absolutely sure that your publisher will accept your banner before you sign up for a paid AdsGen account, then we suggest first signing up for an AdsGen free demo account.
The adsgen free demo account will allow you to build free AdsGen banners branded with a small AdsGen logo in the lower right hand corner of the banner. You can then send this banner to your ad publisher for approval before upgrading to a paid account. Once you upgrade to a paid account you will be able to create banners without the AdsGen logo.
Q. Can I use the RICHproduct Storefront as an ecommerce solution?
Yes, the RICHproduct Storefront is a great way to explore the option of adding e-commerce on your web site without risking your valuable time and money. Easily manage sales and orders using our integrated shopping cart, which you can easily link to PayPal by simply entering your PayPal email into the common settings page of your AdsGen account. AdsGen uses encryption technology for increased protection.
Q. Can I use The Promotion display on my own web site or blog to promote products and services?
Yes, place the Promotion display on your home page to Boost product visibility and awareness and encourage your customers to browse your product pages. With the Promotion display you are able to link each product to a unique destination URL!
AdsGen banner creation
Q. How do I create an AdsGen banner?
- Add categories:
- Click the “Category” tab within the manage section of your account.
- Next, click add new and fill in the category form at the bottom of the page. Click the “save” to save your new category.
- Add products:
- Click the “Product” tab within the manage section of your account.
- Next, click add new and fill in the “add new” product form. Click the “save” button to save your new product.
- Customize your ad:
- Click the “Promotion display” tab or the “Storefront” tab depending on the type of banner you would like to create.
- Next click add new and customize your chosen banner selecting the “Preview” button to view a live version of your banner in real time. Click the “save” button to save your banner.
- For the RICHproduct Storefront template only. Enter PayPal email for PayPal Standard within the common settings page.
Q. How do I choose which products are displayed in my banners?
We have developed a very simple and convenient way to manage products.
- First you must add categories to the “Categories” page
- Next, when you add products to the “Products” page you are able to assign each product to a previously added category.
- Next, when you customizes your banner in the final step of banner creation, you are able to choose what categories (e.g. product groupings) are to be displayed within the banner.
Publishing your AdsGen banner
Q. How do I create an AdsGen banner?
- Implementing your AdsGen banner is easy! After you have created your AdsGen banner select your chosen ad within the “Promotion display” or the “Banner ad store” tab and click the Get selected ads code button, which will generate your ad code.
- Right click the ad code and select “Copy”. You can now either paste this code to your website or send it to your ad publisher using your favourite email provider.
We recommend pasting your ad code into a Microsoft Notepad document and sending to your publisher as an attachment.
Q. How do I test my ads click through URL’s before submitting the ad to a publisher?
- Click the “Promotion display”.
- Next click the edit link beside the banner you would like to test. This brings you to the customization page, where you first customized your banner
- Select the “Preview” button to view your banner live, in real time. This is where you can test your banners click through URL’s and functionality before launch to an ad publisher’s web site.
Q. How can I display my AdsGen banner ad on my own web site?
- Click the “Promotion display” tab or the “Storefront” tab within the “manage” section of your user account.
- Select your chosen banner within the “Promotion display” or the “Storefront” page and click the Get selected ads code button, which will generate your HTML code.
- Right click the ad code and select “Copy” and then paste that HTML ad code into your chosen web page in the same way you would add an image or picture.
Q. How do I find out if my banner network will accept my RICHproduct Ads?
